If Aish NY had a mascot, Keith Rosenblum might be it. Born in Oceanside, NY, Keith’s Jewish journey all began with an email during his sophomore year of college at U Albany with the subject line: “$300 or a free trip to Israel to learn about your Jewish heritage.” After participating in a semester long Maimonides Jewish leadership program, Keith went on a trip to Amsterdam, Brussels and Israel with Aish NY. Over the course of the next two years Keith founded the Aish club on campus, did a summer internship at Aish NY, and attended 4 more trips learning about Jewish heritage and developing leadership skills in Poland, Prague and Israel.
After graduating Albany with a degree in Public Policy, Keith wanted to pursue a career in public service. He wanted to continue building up Aish’s Albany program as well as expanding involvement to other Aish campuses so he took a job with Aish NY as campus coordinator servicing the University at Albany, Columbia, Baruch, Hunter, Queens College, and Hofstra. In summer 2011 Keith was promoted to Campus Recruitment Manager. Today he is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies across all Aish NY campuses in order to generate participants for weekly learning programs, Taglit-Birthright trips and leadership trips to Poland and Israel. He is passionate about training and developing leaders on campus to assist in recruitment and building strong Aish communities on campus. Keith looks forward to many more years as a member of the Aish NY family!
